All aboard the Welsh Highland Railway from Porthmadog to Caernarfon

The final section of the Welsh Highland Railway has been completed two months in advance of the scheduled official opening. The services now run for 25 miles between Porthmadog and Caernarfon curling around tightbends, crawling up steep gradients and zigzagging down the mountain side while passing through the spectacularly scenic Snowdonia landscapes.

In Caernarfon the service starts beside the magnificent Caernarfon castle and in Porthmadog the train even travels through the streets.

Half term specials are a regular feature of the Welsh Highland Railaway but this half term promises to be the best yet.
